Cindy Crawford + French Revue de Modes

French Revue de Modes celebrates its 10th anniversary with the SS12 issue [on newstands now]. They enlisted one of the original supermodels for the celebration, Cindy Crawford. Let's all take a moment with these photos...she is 46! Wow.

Model Lust : Cody Callahan

Meet Cody Callahan. Born and raised in the suburbs outside of Dallas, Texas, he fled the largest state in the nation to pursue his largest dreams in California. Nope, not modeling as you might suspect given his looks, but acting. Judging from the extreme discipline of his body, he studied to be a personal trainer, it's likely he'll stop at nothing to be the next big thing on film.

I had the pleasure of working with him last week on a shoot, and he seems to be a genuinely nice guy. Wish him all the best pursuing his ambitions.

Model Lust : David Gandy

Breaking ground in Model Lust, another non-Spaniard makes the list. David Gandy is English, born and raised in Billericay, Essex, England where he was bullied in school for not being very fashionable and having a slight speech impediment.

His friends secretly entered him into a modeling contest for a local morning show while he was working delivering cars to car magazines. No surprise here, he won the contest. What is surprising is that even signed to a modeling agency, the beginning of his career was filled with countless rejections for runway and print ads. It wasn't until he hit it off with Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, of Dolce & Gabbana, that his career took off. Dolce & Gabbana initially booked him as the face of their fragrance Light Blue Pour Homme and the rest, as they say, is history.

In 2009, Forbes magazine ranked Gandy as the worlds third most successful male model. He continues most of his work with Dolce & Gabbana and writes a blog for Vogue where he discusses his modeling and extra-curricular activities, such as his love for cars.

Model Lust : Noah Mills

Surprise! The first Model Lust who isn't a Spaniard, as far as I can tell. Noah Mills was born in Canada, grew up in Baltimore, and later finished school in Australia. I can only hope he picked up a bit of that sexy Australian accent while he was there.

But, judging from his few lines as Samantha's wedding night fling in Sex & the City 2, no accent here. Either way he's pretty close to perfection. He began his modeling career at twenty walking runways for Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent. Currently he's in print ads for D&G, Tommy Hilfiger, and Lacoste.

This is probably the first time I prefer Coke over Pepsi.

Model Lust : Miguel Iglesias

Perhaps it should be called Spanish Male Model Lust, given the Spaniard theme lately. Meet Miguel Iglesias, and as far as my research can tell he is not related to the singer. The modeling sensation is only twenty five years old and already has a healthy resume in tact, including Vogue, DSquared, Dolce & Gabbana, and Puma. Two years ago he started school studying marketing with a plan to one day start his own business. I wonder if he's looking for a tutor? I'd have to brush up on my math, but I know all about multiplication.

Model Lust : Jon Kortajarena

Maybe I was sleeping on Jon Kortajarena, since he has been modeling for major fashion campaigns since 2004, but I never took notice of him until he played the street hustler Carlos in Tom Ford's A Single Man. Yes, another Spanish male model on the Model Lust list. I think I'm just a sucker for passion, which obviously exudes from his piercing stare, out of control hair, signature pout, and chiseled cheek bones.

A native of Bilboa, Spain, his mother is a hairdresser who still manages his signature locks [hey! just like me!]. He was discovered by a modeling agent when he attended a fashion show with a friend on vacation in Barcelona. He was only a minor at the time, and had to convince his parents to let him venture off to Paris to begin his now successful career. He has worked with numerous campaigns and designers including Versace, Etro, Diesel, Guess, and Tom Ford, to name a few. In 2009, Forbes magazine ranked him number eight in the World's Ten Most Successful Male Models.

Most recently, you can catch him in ads for David Yurman, and occasionally you can catch him in spreads with Andres Velencoso, a close personal friend, and my first Model Lust subject.

"For me, it's more about seduction than just a pretty face." - Jon Kortajarena [and I couldn't agree more]

Model Lust : Andres Velencoso

I'm a complete "modelizer" and could not think of any one better to share as my first Model Lust than Spanish male model Andres Velencoso. You can find him on the pages of L'Officiel Hommes in almost every issue, which is where I first spotted him when he graced the cover of No. 15.

Andres says his career didn't begin with some cliche story of being discovered in some supermarket by an agent, but instead was pushed to pursue modeling by his mother, Lucia [whose name is tattooed on his chest], and two sisters after finishing high school. It is rather cliche though that his career began with many rejections until a New York modeling agency named Natalie Kates signed him to Q Model Management.

I've watched some interviews with him on youtube [sadly, the obsession is that bad] and he seems incredibly humble, which is incredibly sexy. I'm sure Kylie Minogue would agree, they've been dating since July 2008.
