The Ford Face
The September Issue of Vogue found me in complete lust over Lust Icon Tom Ford once again [does it ever stop though?]. The magazine featured an article on Mr. Ford to promote his entire cosmetics line that debuts this October.
Mr. Ford gives readers his "Ten Commandments of Makeup". I know nothing about makeup, but I learned a lot and more about Mr. Ford. Check them out, shared with us by Vogue writer Plum Sykes.
"1. You Don't Need Any Sleep to Look Radiant - If You Have Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick and Finishing Powder on Hand.
The morning I go to meet Ford at his glitzy London HQ, he has had two hours' sleep the night before. He has terrible insomnia. However, in his immaculate black suit, white shirt, and black tie, he looks crisp and fresh. I would like to know his secret, I tell him.
'Powder under the eyes,' he declares authoritatively. 'The only thing making you have bags is the light hitting the high points of the skin. If there is translucent powder under your eyes,' he says - grabbing a gorgeous glossy brown-and-gold compact and looking in the mirror, dusting finishing powder under each eye - 'and you use a little stick foundation, and then powder in moderation, the shadows are gone.'

Christian Louboutin Daffodile Brodee
This one's for the ladies! They've seen the pages of Vogue's September Issue, but the Christian Louboutin Daffodile Brodee isn't available just yet. Similar to a past favorite [Ecotrash anyone?] this Louboutin collage of a 160 mm platform is satin embellished with everything from sequins to crystals to chains to bows. Be on the lookout for this piece of lust, uh I mean art. $2,995.
Lust Icon : Kate Moss

The Lust List continues its celebration of all things September Issue with the mother of all September Issue's, Vogue. For 2011, Kate Moss celebrates not only her recent wedding to rocker Jamie Hince, but yet another cover for the publication. Besides having Mario Testino as her wedding photographer, and Vogue as a sort of "wedding album", there is plenty of glamour that makes this cover girl a Lust Icon.
Moss was born in Croydon, London, in 1974. Her mother, a bar maid, and her father, a travel agent, separated when she was thirteen. As the cliche goes, separated parents meant trouble in school. Moss definitely struggled with academics, but excelled at athletics [and beauty].
A year later, at fourteen, Moss was discovered by Sarah Doukas of Storm Model Management [one of the world's leading agencies, based in London]. She was returning from holiday in the Bahamas when Doukas spotted her at JFK Airport in New York.

Moment of Lust : Mark Sanchez
The Lust List enjoys a good football game from time to time, more for the athletes than the actual game. While we're on the subject of GQ's September Issue, check out coverlust Mark Sanchez. I'm a sucker for a football jock in the tub.
GQ's 'Tell'
To quote Candy Pratts-Price, "September is the January of fashion". Although fiscally, it's still August, all the September issues of Lust List's favorite magazines are hitting the newsstands with Fall Fashion Previews. I was flipping the pages of the newest GQ and came across something better than fashion.
Chris Heath, a contributor for GQ, was asked to interview dozens of gay servicemen from the past and present to find out what life has been like in their military career as the American government ends the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. The article is long and very touching. There are so many different stories, opinions, and survival tales. The issue has yet to hit GQ online, but I've shared a few of my favorite stories below.
