Louis Vuitton Raindrop Besace 'Trash' Bag

I've been tearing through about four years of Elle magazine's this week in an attempt to consolidate them into image books. I came across a spread from about a year ago that featured this Louis Vuitton handbag [from the SS10 Collection] and took a trip down memory lane to learn more.

It seems the fashion world wasn't such a big fan of the Vuitton "Raindrop Besace" bag. A lot of opinions on the world wide web found this nearly two-thousand dollar [patent leather lambskin] bag ridiculous. Marc Jacobs and the Vuitton creative team called it a utilitarian rain bag. It features leather handles, pull ties, a vintage Vuitton logo printed on the side, and was available in two colors.

If you ask me the bag was genius. Not only did it get people talking, but what's more "boss" than considering a two-thousand dollar bag trash? I suppose not much would have been able to compete with the "Monogram Chece Bohemian" bag anyways [that was the amazing dip-dye bag always featured with that incredible fox tail].

LowLuv by Erin Wasson Triple Crystal Ring

I was surveying the goods with a fellow luster at American Rag Cie in Newport Beach when I stumbled across this beauty. LowLuv by Erin Wasson Triple Crystal Ring is a silver set ring featuring three 14K gold crystal rods. $75.

Another lustable aspect of this jewelry line is other designs featuring the Egyptian "Evil Eye". Check out Amercian Rag Cie's website for more LowLuv, linked above, and you can also find Vivienne Westwood accessories! And learn a little more about Erin Wasson below.

Erin Wasson is a model turned jeweler. You may have seen her on the covers of Vogue, Flair, Numero, Allure, Esquire, and Elle. She has worked with renown designers and photograpers, and most recently appeared alongside Justin Timberlake in short films promoting William Rast. Known for her low-key sense of style, she didn't stop at jewelry and did a collaboration with RVCA in the Spring of '09.
