David LaChapelle

Growing up at the height of silly white rappers, lustful pop music ladies, and all of our favortie boy bands, it wasn't always the music that created the image. Magazines like Rolling Stone and Blender [remember that one?] featured artistis like Britney Spears, Eminem, and Pink all photographed and stylized by David LaChapelle.

David LaChapelle is a renown photographer working in the fields of fashion, advertising, and fine art photography. His work has been described as surreal, unique, sexualized, and often humorous. Just a good ol' American boy from Conneticut who fled the suburban life for New York City.

It was in New York where LaChapelle met Andy Warhol in the lustworthy hot spot Studio 54. Warhol offered him a job as a photographer for Interview magazine. Interview magazine led to Rolling Stone, Vogue, GQ, Photo, and Vanity Fair [among many others].

LaChapelle hasn't stopped there. He has directed two films, "Krumped" and "Rize", as well as numerous television ads for brands like H&M and shows like "Desperate Housewives". In 2004, he took his vision to the stage directing Elton John's "The Red Piano" in Las Vegas.

I lust for the style of LaChapelle's work, having been a fan since seeing his witty photos of Britney Spears. He has a way of taking ideas of the present day and throwing them in society's face. His subjects are always styled in a combination of sex and glamour, usually with some sort of religious aspect idolizing them in a way. I'm an even bigger fan whenever he works with the iconic Pamela Anderson, like the photo above.

LaChapelle has worked with everyone from Lady Gaga and Madonna to Angelina Jolie and Hugh Hefner. He has published numerous books for your coffee table including Heaven to Hell, Hotel LaChapelle, and Artists and Prostitutes.

YSL Weekend Leather Bag

I've always said the luggage staple of any Lust Icon is Louis Vuitton. However, there are some pieces at Gucci that I definitely wouldn't mind toting to Las Vegas. And then I stumbled across this Yves Saint Laurent Weekender which features one of my favorite details from the SS11 line, the big, bold "Y".

Yves Saint Laurent light grey leather weekend bag with cotton lining, a padlock in a tag on the handle, zip, large luggage tag, side adjusting tabs and 'Y' stitched logo on the side. This piece is solid, roomy and butter soft. With a casual look it lends a Gatsby grace. $2,295.

Mr. Lucky's Las Vegas

How can I forget Mr. Lucky's?! I know I said Rehab would be the last Las Vegas post of the night on Lust List, but consider this the hangover

Located at yes, my home away from home, the Hard Rock Hotel, Mr. Lucky's is the best food you'll find in Las Vegas at the best price 24/7. It's pretty much ninety percent of the meals I eat in Las Vegas [the other ten being room service] and that includes french toast at one in the morning.

If you can drag your ass out of bed before 10 AM you must order the creme brulee oatmeal [it's as delicious as it sounds]. But, if you're like me you can just stay up all night and you won't miss the deadline.

Rehab Las Vegas

Rounding off my celebration of Las Vegas [yes, I'm itching to start the summer already in Sin City!] is the ultimate pool party and the best time you'll ever have in the sun, Rehab at the Hard Rock Hotel.

I first attended Rehab two years ago and it has since become a summer ritual. There's not much I love more than lounging in the sun, poolside, with a potent cocktail and Rehab has taken that experience and blown it out the water.

Rehab is the original pool party in Las Vegas. Each Sunday during pool season, the Beach Club at the Hard Rock transforms into a massive outdoor party. Thousands of revellers attend each week and party from morning till night. While the resident DJ Corps plays a wide variety of music, Rehab has become a noted destination for headline dance music DJs. Guest DJs have included Tiësto, Sharam of Deep Dish, Fedde Le Grand, Bad Boy Bill, BT, Donald Glaude, and Jonathan Peters. It has also become a frequent site for celebrities and the amazing Lady Gaga made her Las Vegas debut at Rehab.

XS Las Vegas

You can't experience nightlife in Las Vegas without a stop at XS. Located at the Encore Las Vegas which was awarded the AAA Five Diamond Award, you can't expect anything but luxury drinking and dancing the night away at XS.

XS provides an elegant club environment that surrounds Encore’s outdoor pool, highlighted by a ten-foot rotating chandelier. Guests can sit at an indoor table or enjoy bottle service poolside in one of the outdoor cabanas.

XS has more than 40,000 square feet of outdoor and indoor space, over 10,000 individual light sources and was designed by Roger Thomas, the executive vice president of design for Wynn Design and Development. The design was inspired by the curves of the human body.

XS was voted #1 in the Nightclub & Bar Top 100 2011, so you can expect long lines and beautiful people. The lust is well worth the wait.

The Nirvana Penthouse at the HRH Las Vegas

There is only one destination for summer, EVERY summer [as much as you possibly can], and that is Las Vegas. If lust were a city, it would be Las Vegas. And there is no place I would rather stay than the Hard Rock Hotel. Or to be more specific the HRH Towers. If not for the amazing rooms and incredible atmosphere, you can get in to the best pool party in Las Vegas, Rehab. I've stayed in several of the better hotels in Las Vegas, but something about the Hard Rock Hotel feels like my home away from home.

But, no rock star can be found in your standard rooms [which are better than most apartments you've ever lived in]. Instead, you can strum your guitar in one of the amazing themed penthouses like the Nirvana Penthouse [pictured].

Named after the ultimate level of pleasure, the Nirvana Penthouse was designed to portray a heavenly atmosphere. Light and airy in the décor and layout, the penthouse is adorned with cream and beige tones that are complimented by light blue Moroccan tiles and design accents. The penthouse is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, an outdoor terrace and a heated plunge pool.

Balenciaga 0067/S

Found these Balenciaga's at Solstice a few weeks back and immediately fell in lust.

The Spanish-born designer Cristobal Balenciaga was a perfectionist, luxury couturier, cutting lines as an architect and working with clothing blueprints. His creative precision gained him worldwide acclaim from the time the House of Balenciaga was founded in Spain in 1919 and relocated to Paris in 1937. Today, the company is owned by Gucci Group and Nicolas Ghesquière is the illustrious creative director, overseeing the creation of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, shoes, and accessories. The Balenciaga eyewear collection takes creative direction from both the modern and vintage Balenciaga runway collections.

The 0067/S [pictured in Havana Brown, one of three total colors], features a transparent faux woodgrain frame accented with a flash of gold metal atop the brim, and gradient lenses. I'm definitely in the market for a gradient lens. These bad boys have just the right amount of decadent flash to be rockin' poolside in my favorite city of lust, Las Vegas. $350
