Gant by Michael Bastian Swim Trunk

Michael Bastian has been praised for updating the "American Classic" with his Gant line and these swim trunks are a perfect example.

Gant by Michael Bastian nylon drawstring swim trunk with white and green striped tipping at sides. 11" rise. 3" inseam. The olive is available at Barney's, but I'm a bigger fan of the red pair at Bloomingdale's. $125.

Husband Lust : Jason Hoppy

Bethenny who? After watching the Real Housewives of New York for five hours on a flight to New York, the only thing I remember is the steamy Jason Hoppy soaping up in the shower before the couple went to have a baby. I will say I was a little disappointed he doesn't always have the scruff, but scruff or no scruff Jason is defnitely husband material.

Model Lust : Zeb Ringle

There isn't much info on American model Zeb Ringle [talk about an awesome name]. This Model Lust isn't as well known as previous topics, but it seems he just had his big break being photographed by Steven Klein for Arena Hommes magazine. The Lust List looks forward to seeing more of him though.

Model Lust : Cristiano Ronaldo

Viva Portugal! Cristiano Ronaldo is a Portuguese footballer [he plays forward for La Liga and is captain of the Portuguese National team] who is the most expensive player in football history. We can see where all that money goes; tanning, DSquared, Gucci, vacations around the world. I would imagine he isn't buying any underwear, I'm sure he has a lifetime supply after being the face of Armani's underwear line and following in the football footsteps of David Beckham.

Ronaldo may even be considered a Lust Icon. He is frequently spotted carrying a man bag and rocking just short enough swim trunks. The Lust List loves a man who takes risks and appreciates luxury labels.

Model Lust : Andres & Jon in GQ Style

Have you seen the new GQ Style? Its got double the trouble in a fashion spread with Model Lust BFF's Jon Kortajarena and Andres Velencoso.  This isn't the first time they've been featured together, and hopefully it won't be the last.

DSquared Destroyed Denim Shorts

Another shorts stand out for the summer from our boys Dean and Dan at DSquared. The shorter the shorts the better in my opinion, within reason of course. Take a stand for individuality and rock this tailored version of denim shorts vs. the flood of cut-off's you will see all summer long. Take another step in personal identity and stand for distressed denim [it seems everything is raw or rinse these days].

DSquared Denim shorts in dark wash. Five pocket styling. Logo-embossed silver tone rivets. Leather logo patch and red loop detail at back waist. Allover distressing and abrasions. Creasing at thighs. Sanding at front and rear. White paint splatter detail at single side. Contrast stitching in orange and yellow. Button fly with red logo tab and stitching at placket. Made in Italy. $385.

Sundek White Mid Length Board Shorts

Let's keep the swim shorts features afloat shall we?

Sundek Shorts debuted in California in 1958 especially for surfers. The rainbow motif, added in 1972, remains a feature of all Sundek shorts today. Originally championed by professional surfers including Kelly Slater and Ken Bradshaw, Sundek shorts have since become popular as stylish beachwear for surfers and sunbathers alike.

Now, these white mid length board shorts aren't as cool as the exclusive camoflauge ones they did for Ron Herman, but still good. It seems the camoflauge edition has become an urban myth, I saw them once in store and haven't been able to find any images on line for you Lust List followers. $120.

TomTom 'Tribal Matters' Ring

Elena Coleman Howell launched TomTom Jewelry in 2009. As a formally trained architect, Elena applies a modern and graphical design sensibility to each stylized collection. With an emphasis on geometry and material interplay, Elena utilizes digital fabrication techniques such as 3D printing and waterjet + laserjet cutting to design unique statement jewelry.

I know, that sounds like a whole lot of fancy, but it works. The pieces are incredible! Like this "Tribal Matters" ring. It's available in seven different finishes, I suggest getting a variation of both gold and silver, and it's just one of the stunning pieces Elena offers up on her website. $155.

Olasul Swim Shorts

I can't seem to get enough of swim trunks. The Lust List does not condone owning more pairs than there are days of summer, but do step into the water with these.

Olasul brands itself as "surfwear with a story". This is definitely not your typical surf and skate brand though. The design, colorways, and materials are on a whole other, and might I add luxurious, level. Which is why you can find them at your local Ron Herman stores.

If you break down the name it goes like this: "Ola" meaning wave, and "Azul" meaning blue. It's the brands attempt to transport you to the Peruvian coast. All of the colors are bright [I'm all about neons this summer] and inspired by Peru; think Limon shorts inspired by Peruvian lemons. The fits are modern and the fabrication of their knits is what I imagine drifting at sea would feel like.

I'm a big fan of the violet and yellow dyed stripe shorts pictured above. They haven't hit the online store yet but I'm looking forward to getting all kinds of sandy in them already.
